ARTIST BIO

I am a Melbourne based photographer and multimedia developer working on a range of commercial and educational photographic projects.

I have been taking photos all my life but I started getting more seriously into landscape and wilderness photography after living in Hobart in the late 70‘s. I had been influenced by the Tasmanian Wilderness work of Olegas Truchanas and Peter Dombrovskis.

I have enjoyed photographing numerous Tasmanian bushwalking trips, rafting trips down the Franklin and Huon Rivers and exploring the high country in Victoria and New South Wales. I really enjoy winter photography while cross country skiing in the Australian High Country, Canada or America. 

I have spent extended periods photographing wilderness areas in Colorado, Washington State, Canada, Alaska and Yosemite National Park. Recently I returned to Canada and Alaska and photographed the Inside Passage and Denali National Park. 

My photography extended from outdoor into travel photography to places like New Zealand, Japan, Europe, Singapore and Thailand.

These days I produce photographic and multimedia educational resource material for schools and commercial organizations as well as a number of fine art prints sold through exhibitions. 

I am a member and President of the Diamond Valley Photographic Society. I spend a lot of time producing Audio Visual material from my photographs and explore the creative use of these videos in education and commercial environments.
